Steps 1 to 4
In this conversation, ask your customer to become an affiliate. On a negative, ask them to become a customer. On a negative, ask them if they know someone who is looking to earn extra money on the side. Then if they remain a prospect, ask them if they would not mind talking about this in 3 months time just in case the timing isn't right.
Scenario #1, your prospect will be an affiliate and a customer of yours.
Scenario #2, your prospect won't become affiliate, but will become a customer of yours. Check on them in 3 months time and ask for a referral then.
Scenario #3, your prospect won't become affiliate or customer, but won't mind giving you a referral that is looking for a way of making extra money on the side. Check on them in 3 months time and repeat step 1 to 4.
Scenario #4, your prospect will not become affiliate, customer and will not offer you a referral. Ask them if they would not mind you recontacting them about this in 3 months. If they say yes, repeat step 1 to 4 in 3 months time. If they say no, forget about them and put them on your blacklist not to waste time any longer.
By doing this, you are trying to at least have a new referral from any customer or prospect every 3 months time.
You are growing your current prospect's curiosity by asking them who would benefit even without them inside the marketing business.
Your offer looks less like a suspicious ponzi scheme because you don't mind your prospect trying the products.
You are filtering unwanted prospects out of your contact list for good saving time.
